November 2003 – Daz

November 18/2003  Daz!

Sheer magic – the transition into Grandma Hood.

One glance – one touch and I fell madly in love. The wonder of holding him, watching him breath, delighting in each sound, that new baby smell, each expression, the oh so precious gift of a grin. He so intently peers into my soul – just like his mother before him.

Thank you, thank you to the great spirit for the privilege of experiencing this moment.
Presenting Daz:

Cancer curvivor Michelle with grandson Daz It’s a time of great gifts. By wondrous co-incidence the experience of Grandma Hood is shared, 3 of us welcoming the first children of our first child. All 3 being our eldest daughters having sons, all born within 24 hours of each other:

November 17/2003 - Just the day before Daz’s arrival; twin boys Craig and Keith make my longtime friend Karen a grandma; first child of her eldest daughter Holly.

November 18/2003 - Daz shares his birthday with a ‘special’ sister – Hannah, daughter of our foster daughter Corinna.

November 18/2003 - And Morgan, who makes Robbin a grandma – first child of her eldest daughter Danielle.

And the gifts continue: Anne – a cherished cousin becomes a grandma for the second time. My ‘baby brother’ welcomes Logan – his second son. And Shirley – my angel – welcomes her 6th grandchild. Welcoming 8 babies into the extended families in November/December 2003. Truly a time of great blessings.

It’s wondrous to wear all these life titles like precious scarves:
Daughter - Sister - Mom – Auntie – Friend – Best of all – Grandma!
